what bailey wore

I started a hashtag on my Instagram account of some of Bailey’s outfits #whatbaileywore … It’s so fun dressing little ones. I hope she’ll let me dress her for a little while longer – most mornings she wakes up and insists on wearing a dress. We don’t have a million dresses so often I have to say no and she can’t understand. Also she says her favourite colours are pink and purple… together. Yikes. For now I’ll enjoy creating these little outfits for her while I can.

borrowed from the boys

A few weeks ago Emily and I attended a Gap styling event hosted by Grazia magazine. What fun to be able to browse the beautiful summer collection in store at our own leisure – think loads of bright prints and colours and, of course, the essential basics that Gap are famous for. As part of the Styling session we were given the option to choose any pair of Gap’s 1969 denims with the idea of styling them our own way. We tried on a whole bunch of denims and both eventually settled on the Sexy Boyfriend – a style that neither of us are too familiar with but one that certainly fits our lifestyles juggling work and our littles.

The Boyfriend Jean is not just about being a more relaxed fit. It is looser than the skinnies we’re used to, but it’s still tailored and tapered to fit just right. They are the softest, most comfortable denims you can imagine and it’s pretty difficult not to wear them every day!

Emily styled her Boyfriends with a Beck & Sondergard scarf and Splendid top, both from Shop-Label, Zara heels and clutch and Prada sunnies from Sunglass Hut.
