Pichulik launch s/s 2017

… and it’s better than ever.

Their spring/summer 2017 collection has been launched in conjunction with the second #PichulikByNadya resort wear collection, and their second collaboration with Cape Town brand Espadril.

Gone are the vibrant blues, reds and yellows, replaced by smooth metal and a restricted palette of natural colours – dusty pinks, soft sand colours, black and white offset by gold wrapping and polished metals.

Because many of the materials are organic –coral, shell, horn – no two pieces are the same.

The jewellery is complemented by the second PICHULIK by Nadya von Stein clothing collection. “The garments are inspired by the travelling garments of the ’30s and are made from hand-dyed hemp in natural hues. The lines are clean and the focus is on function as much as fashion,” says Von Stein.

Feminine and ideal for a South African sumer. The spring/summer 2017 collection will be available online at pichulik.com on 14 October 2016 and at the PICHULIK stores in the V&A Watershed as well as AKJP Collective in Cape Town.

kirsten goss jewellery – ‘prong’ collection

Local jewellery designer Kirsten Goss has released her latest collection, Prong. The essence of Prong is classic and clean with a linear, futuristic edge. It is in celebration of one of Kirsten’s signature (and favourite) earring forms – Pyxis.

The pieces are created using sterling silver, gold vermeil and an assortment of semi-precious stones.

In the Prong collection you will find strong, bold, masculine lines – but fine enough to remain delicate and precious. We love the shoot, with pieces modelled by the gorgeous Kamini Pather (freelance writer, winner of the last SA Masterchef and star of soon-to-be seen Girl Eats World).

Prong is available in store and online. For more information, visit Kirsten Goss.

Adriaan Kuiters X JP + PICHULIK

Award-winning accessories designer Katherine-Mary Pichulik has teamed up with designer Keith Henning of Adriaan Kuiters and artist Jody Paulsen on their S/S15 collection. “The new prints we developed required new adornments to balance them and Pichulik’s aesthetic perfectly complimented the on-trend sporty-meets-arty collection and fabrics,” says Henning.

Fabrics such as knits, crêpe, chiffon, neoprene, cotton, twill and abaya form the perfect backdrop for Pichulik’s neckpieces, bracelets and earrings that were designed specifically for the various looks. “I wanted to create pieces that excite and as always created these colourful and bold designs for women who push the boundaries and honour beauty,” says Pichulik.

Oh dear megan

We are very much enamoured with the summer 2013 collection from Oh Dear Megan jewellery design. The collection is all about the light and colours of summer. Pops of sherbet and ice cream shades have been incorporated into the pieces, which are made from things like old 1960s coins. Utterly dreamy.

I have a big thing for these geometric shapes.
