Like most five-year-old girls, Bailey was sure about one thing for her party, and that was it had to be all about Frozen. This year, we did a joint party with one of her friends. It was super fun, and lucky me because Chloe’s mum is the most amazing party organiser. I can take no credit for all the food and decor. She did it all. Amazing!
We booked Cooking with Hannah for the party, who is just so good. To start, the girls got to decorate chef hats with stickers and crayons. Once their chef hats were on (which Hannah kindly converted into crowns for us), they decorated cupcakes, each with their own piping bag filled with blue icing, and then topped that with snowflakes and sprinkles. After a little break and a game of pin the carrot on Olaf, they made their own pavlovas with mini meringues, strawberries and cream. Hannah also arranged for a game of pass the parcel. The only disappointing thing about the day was the shocking service from the venue, The Bay at the False Bay Rugby Club. I won’t go into the details of how bad they were, just bad.
Bailey’s snowflake cake was made by Lisa Welsh, our go-to cake baker. She is the best! Not only are the cakes beautiful, but they taste good too. It’s important to get both right. You can order with Lisa on 076 417 2751.
Thank you Hannah for being so calm amongst the chaos of the day, the girls had a blast.
